INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup corn syrup
1 egg white
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla


COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Bring syrup to a boil in saucepan over medium heat
  2. In small mixing bowl, beat egg white and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Beat in vanilla.
  3. Gradually beat in hot syrup for about 3 minutes or until stiff and shiny.


NOTES

Yields approx. 2 cups.

Per serving (2 tbsp): 31 calories, 7 g carbohydrate, 0 g protein, 0 g fat.
(14 mg sodium, 5 mg potassium, 0 mg cholesterol)

Goes well with Fat Free Chocolate Cake.
