Regardless of age or circumstance, makeup can and does make a difference in how others treat you. On the surface, it may not seem fair for people to judge you on your appearance, but if you think about it you will see that your appearance is a direct reflection of how you feel about yourself and therefore of how you feel you deserve to be treated. And that's what people are responding to. So if you want people to treat you with respect, you need to clearly project to them that you believe you're worthy of their respect.

This does not mean you need to go all out and paint your face to the extreme. On the contrary, makeup, much like clothing, should be both age and situation appropriate, and knowing what is age and situation appropriate is indicative of style and class.

During the Fall of 2008 I took a makeup artistry course to better serve my Mary Kay client base. For those of you who have not had much experience with makeup, I have learned many valuable tips and tricks in my makeup artistry course, via my Mary Kay training and also through additional reading of makeup artistry books that I would like to share with you, including my number one favourite makeup tip.
